Amy Holland Lieberman - Artist Bio

Art has been part of my life since childhood, inspired by my mother, Muriel Pravda—a prolific painter, sculptor, poet and teacher.  I am a proud graduate of the Fashion Institute of Technology, where I majored in fashion illustration and graphic design.  It is an honor to share my work at Galleria of Arte in Boca Raton, Florida.

Born in Brooklyn and raised in Queens, New York, I have called South Florida home for over 50 years.  My creative journey began in the cosmetic industry, working for Revlon and traveling the state of Florida for Borghese cosmetics, before branching out into design.  Over the years, I have created ceramic jewelry for galleries, hand painted women’s tuxedo shirts, painted on glass, designed whimsical frames and developed a keepsake box business. 

 One of the most meaningful moments in my artistic journey came when two of my paintings were adapted into tribute cards to raise funds for cancer research at the University of Miami and Sylvester Cancer Center—a cause close to my heart.

My passion for photography often finds its way into my art, blending with my love for bold, eye catching creations.  I work primarily with acrylic paint, mixed media and modeling paste to achieve pieces with striking texture and captivating “Wow” factor.
